Why we love them
While Jeremy is pursuing a filmmaking career, film photography is still what he’s most passionate about. He received his BA in Film + Media Studies and Art History from Tufts, studied documentary photography under the mentorship of renowned photojournalist Gary Knight, and received his MFA from NYU Tisch’s Graduate Film program. Jeremy looks to photographers who inspire him—Frank, Webb, Koudelka, Arnold, etc.—while also trying to figure out what makes his eye different. As a street photographer, he knows how to be invisible yet razor-sharp; as a film director, he understands that constructing moments and finding the truth takes time.
Jeremy says
"In my eyes, what makes a photograph great (versus good) is its ability to generate emotion, and that can come from different places: color, light, subject, composition… or a combination of all of them!
